TV presenter Jay Blades charged with rape
BBC Repair Shop host Jay Blades, 55, is due to appear at Telford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday facing two allegations of rape. The Shropshire-based presenter, who rose to fame on the restoration show in 2017 and stepped back last year, will not be expected to enter pleas at the first hearing. Blades has also appeared on Celebrity MasterChef, Celebrity Bake Off, Comic Relief and previously hosted the BBC’s Money For Nothing.
