The confrontation occurred on July 25 near the intersection of Georgetown Road and Pocket Road. Investigators reported that the conflict began in Darlington County between two drivers — James Donald Robinson and Monxavior Jatrabian Oumari Williams.

As the situation intensified, both vehicles entered Florence County. Deputies say the drivers stopped and confronted one another, then continued driving on Pocket Road.

Shortly after, Robinson encountered Williams again — this time, Williams was allegedly standing in the roadway with a rifle. A shootout ensued, and both vehicles were hit by gunfire. Miraculously, no injuries were reported.

Both Robinson and Williams are now facing serious charges, including:

  • Pointing and presenting a firearm
  • Discharging a firearm into a vehicle
