According to ESPN’s Brooke Pryor, Rodgers had a shaky start to practice, completing just one of three pass attempts — one of which was intercepted on the very first play. While he did manage to draw the defense offsides, it wasn’t enough to match Rudolph’s flawless opening series. The Steelers quarterback went four-for-four against the second-team defense, showcasing poise and precision.
While it’s important not to overreact to early training camp performances, Rudolph’s sharp execution is certainly noteworthy. That said, Rodgers’ rough start is unlikely to define his preseason trajectory. As a four-time MVP entering his 21st — and possibly final — NFL season, Rodgers is expected to bounce back with characteristic intensity and focus.
