Apple is set to unveil the highly anticipated iPhone 17 series on September 9, with growing excitement surrounding the debut of a new model—the iPhone 17 Air. This ultra-slim device is expected to replace the previous Plus variants and offer features similar to the Pro lineup. In terms of pricing in India, the iPhone 17 Air is likely to start at around ₹1,00,000 for the 256GB variant, while the iPhone 17 Pro could see a price hike, starting at ₹1,25,000 for the same storage. Design-wise, the iPhone 17 Air will reportedly feature a sleek 5.5mm titanium frame, a single 48MP rear camera, and lack a physical SIM slot, while still including the Action and Camera Control Buttons. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro is expected to use an aluminum and glass build with a triple-camera setup, including a new 48MP telephoto lens. Both models will sport a Super Retina XDR OLED display with 120Hz refresh rates, though the Air may offer a larger 6.6-inch screen compared to the Pro’s 6.3-inch panel. Performance should be nearly identical, with both powered by Apple’s new A19 Pro chip and paired with 12GB of RAM. However, the Pro may offer longer battery life with a 3700mAh battery versus the Air’s 2900mAh. While both phones are expected to support fast charging and feature a 24MP front camera, the iPhone 17 Pro will appeal more to photography and power users, whereas the Air is likely targeted at those who prefer a slimmer, more lightweight design without sacrificing core performance.
